Vice President, Middle East Research
Stewart is Vice President, EMEARC Research with a specific focus on the Middle East. He is also Woodmac’s Global Practice Leader for Oil Supply.
Since joining Wood Mackenzie in 1996, Stewart has worked on an extensive range of oil & gas research and consulting projects covering the Middle East, North Africa and West Africa. He has worked with many IOCs, NOCs and financial institutions, advising on regional entry and growth strategies, fiscal terms benchmarking, M&A opportunities and project finance due diligence.
Stewart has 25 years oil industry experience in a variety of technical and commercial functions. Before joining Wood Mackenzie Stewart was a senior geophysicist with GETECH. Stewart started his career as a field engineer, spending two years exploring for oil and gas in Nigeria and Libya.
Stewart graduated from Leeds University with a BEng (Honours) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and holds an MSc in Exploration Geophysics, also from Leeds.
