GCC Program Leader
Maria Vagliasindi is currently Program Leader for the GCC countries at the World Bank. She has been leading analytical work and policy dialogue with senior government officials, on Public Private Partnerships, Energy Subsidies, Governance and Regulatory Reforms in infrastructure sectors in several developing countries worldwide. She has also led over the past two decades on policy initiatives in partnerships with other institutions, including the IMF, OECD, OPEC and other multilateral development banks, in high level contexts such as the G-20. Maria holds an M Phil in Economics from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick.
